Frequently asked questions

Does merging PDFs reduce their quality?
No. The pages are copied across as they are — text stays selectable, vectors stay sharp, and embedded images are not re-encoded. A merged file is essentially the sum of its parts.
Can I reorder the files before merging?
Yes, and you should check it: the output follows the on-screen order, not the order you happened to select them in. Drag the cards to rearrange, and remove any file you picked by mistake.
What happens to bookmarks and form fields?
Page content, links and annotations are preserved. Document-level structures — the bookmark outline and interactive form fields — are not carried across, so a merged file from fillable forms becomes a flat document.
Can I merge PDFs that are password protected?
Not while they are still encrypted. A PDF with an open password has to be unlocked in a viewer and saved without it first; the merger reads the file directly and cannot ask for a password on your behalf.
