Frequently asked questions

Is a signature I draw here legally binding?
In most jurisdictions — including under eIDAS in the EU and the ESIGN Act in the US — a drawn or typed signature counts as a valid electronic signature for everyday agreements. Documents that need a qualified or notarised signature, such as some property and court filings, require a certified provider instead.
How do I add my signature without printing and scanning?
Draw it with a mouse, a trackpad or a finger on a touchscreen, or upload a photograph of a signature on white paper. Either way the whole print-sign-scan round trip disappears.
Can I put the signature exactly where the line is?
Yes — drag it into position on the page preview and resize it, so it lands on the line rather than near it. You can place it on more than one page for initials.
Is it safe to sign a confidential contract in a browser?
Here, yes, and for a specific reason: the document is opened by your browser and never transmitted. Most online signing services upload your contract to their servers first, which is a meaningfully different privacy position.
